Saturday Excursions

Saturday started bright and early! 4am alarm goes off and on the road by 5am! (the things we do for our kids!!) We drove to the suburbs of Philly for a field hockey tournament. That would be my little girl decked out in the goalie gear. Let me tell you how stressful it is to be the goal keepers mother! Yikes....

This little man waited so patiently throughout all five games. Thank goodness for that DS game in his hands. That device is a lifesaver! Saves my sanity on those long car rides and during those long tournaments!

Luckily everyone was up for a trip to IKEA after the games were over. Crazy busy there yesterday! That tall, white thing my husband is holding is one of those floating shelves that we are going to install in my craft room. Hope he plans on doing that tonight!! I've got some organizing to do in that room and then I can share more pictures.

After a late lunch of some seriously heavy Italian food, we needed to walk it off in Crate and Barrel. The colors they are displaying this season are so delicious! Love, love , love them all. Everything is so vibrant. But this thrifty girl refuses to pay those kinds of prices for anything. So we left the store empty handed. But not without some inspiration to try some new color combinations. I saw a lovely brown couch with awesome purple pillows! This orange, fuchsia, red combo speaks to me.

Love these blues!

Purple + orange= FUN

I would soooooo drink more water if I had these lovely little glasses!

We survived a very long day! As soon as we got home and unpacked the car, I retreated to the sofa with a book and fell asleep!

More of the same for next weekend, except we will be driving to Virginia Beach for a national tournament. About 6.5 hours from home! (ugh, the things we do for our kids!!!! ) Someone please tell me they will appreciate all this stuff when they get older ....right??????

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Wow! Busy! They will totally appreciate when they get older and have their own children! Don't you love those oranges and yellows??? Talk about feeling like spring!

  2. No, they won't appreciate it when they grow up, no more than they will appreciate the poopie diaper changes, the sore nipples, and the healthy meals. But we love them and will do it all anyway!
