I'm in the mood to paint all the walls white and use pops of big, bold colors all around the house.

Sure would be fun to have a blank slate to work with again!

Look what I found !!!

That pile of stuff we found on Sunday, well today there was something new on the pile......

This beauty!

Look at the detail on the door knob, so pretty! This is one HEAVY door !

I have no idea what I should do with this, so I'm looking for some ideas and suggestions from all you creative friends.  I can't print what the hubby wanted me to do with this door......let's just say I don't think he wants anymore of my "junk" in his garage!

Look at the smile on her face, you would think we hit the lottery or something!! That's my girl!!

We spied this pile of stuff on the way to church Sunday morning.  After some pleading from the back seat,  we made a quick turn around to grab some old windows and screens. This young lady had a vision. It involved a trip to Michaels for some .59 neon craft paint (why do all 13 year old girls like neon???) and here is what the girl came up with.......

All on her own! As much as I do not care for neon, I do have to say it looks lovely next to the Target lamp.

I have some plans for the windows I found but I'm not nearly as efficient as this girl when she gets an idea in her head! She is relentless, or should I say determined (that's a good personality trait right???)

Let's see if the earrings will always be put back on the screen.

Happy Monday, last week of summer vacation for us! So sad!

That Kind of Day...............

With temperatures soaring,  the only place to be today was in the water! And if you ask me, it was the perfect kind of day!! We did some crafts projects on the deck, got crazy with some shaving cream and moved Barbie and friends to a waterfront property. This entertained the kids for hours!!

Got this crazy idea from Meg at Whatever. $5.00 worth of Dollar Tree shaving cream, the kids had a blast and their skin was very moisturized!!

I think I had even more fun hosing them off with the "jet" setting on the hose! Yes, sometimes I'm mean like that!

Perfect ending to this kind of day..........dinner on the deck, warm brownies with vanilla ice cream for dessert and swimming until 10pm!!  I really don't want summer to end!

Things that caught my eye today!

Oh look more houses!!!  I have a thing for cottages and cape cods, how sweet is this white one!

Love a front porch! If I worked for the "design police" every house would be required to have one!

Cute idea to weave the patriotic banner through the railing.

I have always admired this little charmer. Love those copper touches!

I see some potential in this cottage. A+ for having window boxes!! Those should also be a requirement.

The house below is for sale, I have driven by it numerous times and have checked it out on realtor.com. I can't help myself, the front porch is HUGE! And there is a pool in the backyard! No we're not in the market but I'm always looking! The husband has no idea why I'm always looking at houses. Wish I could explain it to him. But alas, I'm from Venus and he's from Mars!

You girls get it, right???

Georgia on My Mind..........

To say that I'm a little obsessed with Southern Living's 2010 Idea Home in Georgia is a bit of an understatement. I just sat here and watched almost every video tour of each room in the house! (no one else is home right now so I can do that kind of stuff,  but seriously wasted about 30 mins. of my life!)

This is one of my favorite magazines. As well as Coastal Living and my all time favorite Cottage Living - sadly no longer in publication  ........... Yes, I have a thing for "Living" magazines!

Anyhow, the August issue of Southern Living is fantastic, all the pictures I posted here are from their web site.  This house had me at the foyer......love those floors!

The outdoor living areas of the Idea House are pretty amazing too! Absolutely LOVE this bed swing.

This house makes me want to move south! I always pictured myself living in the New England area, Maine being my favorite area but maybe I'm really a southern girl, cause this house is really calling my name!

Just need to find about $1.1 million to buy this particular model.........and trust me that's not happening!

Go check out some of the rooms in this house. Can you be "in love" with a closet? There is a craft room closet on the 4th floor that I have pretty strong feelings for! Let me know what you think.
