I've been gettin' my craft on these last few days..........makin' flowers! I love it! It's quick and easy and I have something pretty to show for it when I'm done. And now I can start collecting fabric, one more thing to add to my craft room! I found this great tutorial on Pinterest.
I think this one is my favorite. I picked up this great scrap pack of fabric at Hobby Lobby because I loved the blues and greens. Will definitely try this with some other color combinations.
I plan on decorating my thirty-one bag with these flowers. When I bought my bag, my consultant gave me the cute little thirty-one flower. Sadly, I lost it within the first week. I clipped it to my bag instead of pinning it. My bad!
The flower above and below is made with the t-shirt material. It was great to work with.
The flower below was made with a very silky material that looked more like the original thirty-one flower. But it was much trickier to work with.
Can't wait to start my fabric collection!
I think these flowers would look great on pillows too. Just need to learn to sew!

Very nice! You're so talented and productive!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, Jane Doe! But you wouldn't be saying that if you saw all the clean laundry that was sitting in baskets on my bedroom floor just waiting to be put away........ someday!!!!!!
DeleteWow Wow Wow!!!! I love them!!!! I saw the exact same tutorial and thought "I could do this!" I haven't tried it yet, but now I am going to have to! Especially as I just paid $8 for a newborn headband from a fancy shop. I didn't see it but it was on sale online and I thought o.k. It was called the paisley. It is a champagne colored flower that doesn't even look nearly as pretty as yours! Now I have to try it myself or just hire you to make me pretty little ones for newborn photo shoots! Did you stitch or use hot glue? I would definitely be doing the hot glue route! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI am also addicted to Thirty One. As I was cleaning out the hall closet and gathering all my bags, I realized that I have a problem/addiction! They are so useful!!!
Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteThey look awesome and I love it on your purse! Have fun in your craftroom!
